The Agro-PV solar photovoltaic power plant in Jork, Germany has a capacity of 20 MWp and is designed to generate renewable electricity using both photovoltaic panels and crops planted beneath the panels. This innovative system, known as Agro-PV or agrophotovoltaics, allows for dual use of land, which maximizes the value of the farmland and helps to support sustainable agriculture.
The plant consists of solar panels with a capacity of 20 MWp and crops planted beneath the panels. The panels are mounted on a fixed tilt structure and face south to maximize solar energy capture. The structure system features hot-dip galvanized profiles and high-strength screws of class 8.8, equipped with 3x zinc-coated DIN 9021 washers. The plant has a warranty of 20 years, which includes maintenance of the structure.
The Agro-PV power plant in Jork is a landmark project in the field of renewable energy, demonstrating the potential of combining agriculture and solar power generation for sustainable development

Jork is a small town located on the left bank of the Elbe River near Hamburg, Germany. It belongs to the Stade district in Lower Saxony. The town is the capital of the Altes Land region, which is one of the largest fruit-growing areas in Europe. Jork is also home to a fruit research center.
The 20 MWp PV system includes turnkey delivery and installation of the structure, panels, direct and alternating current electrical systems up to the point of connection.
- The structure system consists of 2 vertically mounted panels inclined at an angle of 15 degrees. This configuration ensures optimal sunlight capture for the panels while still allowing for ease of maintenance and cleaning.
- The structure features poles mounted in the ground using a Gayk pneumatic vibro hammer, ensuring stability and longevity. The hot-dip galvanized profiles and aluminum clamps made of alloy 6063 T66 EN755-9 provide resistance to corrosion and harsh weather conditions, ensuring durability over the long term.
- The high-strength screws of class 8.8, equipped with 3x zinc-coated DIN 9021 washers, ensure a secure and stable mounting system for the panels, even in high wind conditions. The structure comes with a 20-year warranty that includes maintenance, providing peace of mind for the lifespan of the system.
