Hybrid inverter Fronius Primo Gen24 Plus 3-6 kW
The Fronius GEN24 Plus hybrid inverter enables energy self-sufficiency for electricity, heating, cooling, and electric mobility by using a battery system. This means that the Fronius GEN24 Plus with Full Backup has a backup power solution that can even supply three-phase loads such as heat pumps. Additionally, the Multi Flow technology allows the hybrid inverter to provide parallel energy flows in the system, even in backup power mode.
The Fronius GEN24 Plus hybrid inverter is an ideal solution for private photovoltaic (PV) systems, offering a comprehensive range of features to ensure reliable, efficient and sustainable energy supply. The inverter is a single-phase system designed to accommodate solar panels with a capacity of up to 10 kWp, making it suitable for residential and small commercial applications.
One of the most significant features of the Fronius GEN24 Plus is its integrated backup power supply system, which enables the inverter to provide backup power to critical loads in the event of a power outage. This feature ensures that the user can continue to use essential appliances such as lighting, refrigeration and communication systems during an outage, without the need for a separate backup generator.
The backup power supply system is achieved through the PV Point feature, which enables the inverter to prioritize the power generated by the solar panels to supply critical loads during a blackout. The PV Point feature allows the system to detect the loss of grid power and immediately switch to backup power mode, ensuring that essential loads remain operational during a power outage.
Another significant feature of the Fronius GEN24 Plus is its ability to accommodate a battery storage system, providing users with the option to store excess energy generated by the solar panels for use during periods of low sunlight or during a power outage. The inverter is compatible with a range of battery storage systems, including the Fronius Solar Battery and the BYD Battery Box.
The Fronius GEN24 Plus is designed with high efficiency in mind, with a maximum efficiency of up to 98.3%. The inverter is equipped with advanced technologies such as active cooling, which ensures that the components are kept at an optimal temperature, and Dynamic Peak Manager, which optimizes energy production by adjusting the voltage to the maximum power point.
The inverter also features a user-friendly interface, with a touch screen display that provides users with real-time data on energy production and consumption. The display also enables users to adjust system settings, such as battery charge and discharge parameters and backup power settings.
In terms of safety, the Fronius GEN24 Plus is designed to comply with the latest industry standards and features a range of safety features such as integrated arc fault protection, overvoltage protection, and overcurrent protection.

Hybrid inverter Fronius Primo Gen24 Plus 3-6 kW
SnapINverter technology is a feature developed by Fronius for their inverters. It is a unique design that allows for easy installation, maintenance, and servicing of the inverter.
One of the key benefits of SnapINverter technology is its modular design, which enables components to be easily replaced in case of failure or malfunction, reducing repair times and costs. The design also allows for simple upgrades, enabling the inverter to adapt to changing energy demands.
Another advantage of SnapINverter technology is its ease of installation. The inverter can be mounted quickly and easily thanks to the snap-in mechanism, which eliminates the need for additional mounting hardware. The design also allows for flexible placement, with the inverter able to be installed vertically or horizontally, depending on the user's preference.
The SnapINverter technology also includes features that improve performance and reliability. For example, the air flow design minimizes dust and debris accumulation, which can impact the efficiency of the inverter. The technology also includes integrated cooling, which helps to regulate the temperature of the inverter, ensuring it operates at peak efficiency.
We are the first inverter manufacturer to offer a fully integrated data communication package with data logging, WLAN, Ethernet, energy management, web server, and a wide range of interfaces. The inverter is connected to the internet via a network cable or WLAN - without the need for additional wiring - and provides you with a perfect overview of how the photovoltaic system is functioning. Connection to third-party components is provided through interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU SunSpec, or Fronius Solar API (JSON). The open interfaces can also be operated in parallel with Fronius Solar.web.
Fronius SuperFlex Design is an ingenious combination of technical performance attributes that make the design of your photovoltaic system not only extremely simple but also incredibly flexible. The key performance factors of the SuperFlex design are two MPP trackers, together with a high system voltage and a wide range of DC input voltage. Each DC input and, therefore, each MPP tracker is capable of hosting the entire nominal output of the inverter. Whether the inverter needs to deal with different roof orientations, shading of one or two strings, or the use of residual modules: a Fronius inverter with integrated SuperFlex Design will meet any imaginable operational photovoltaic system planning scenario using only a single inverter model.
Fronius SuperFlex Design is designed to maximize the energy yield of your photovoltaic system by adapting to different installation conditions. The dual MPP trackers enable the inverter to handle shading and orientation challenges, ensuring the maximum power is harvested from the panels. Additionally, the high system voltage and wide DC input voltage range make it possible to utilize a variety of module configurations, including mismatched modules, thereby optimizing the use of available roof space.
The flexibility of Fronius SuperFlex Design also extends to the design and installation process. The single inverter model can be used for any photovoltaic system, regardless of the roof orientation, shading, or module configuration. This not only simplifies the design process but also reduces the number of inverters required, saving on installation time and costs. The integration of monitoring and communication features also makes it easy to monitor and manage your photovoltaic system remotely.
In summary, Fronius SuperFlex Design is an innovative and flexible solution for maximizing the energy yield of your photovoltaic system. With dual MPP trackers, a high system voltage, and a wide range of DC input voltage, this design adapts to various installation conditions, allowing for optimal power generation from your panels. Furthermore, its flexibility in design and installation, along with the added monitoring and communication features, make it an ideal choice for any photovoltaic system.
Dynamic Peak Manager is a new Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm that dynamically adapts its behavior to find the optimal operating point. Its special feature is that Dynamic Peak Manager automatically checks the entire characteristic curve regularly and finds the global maximum power point (GMPP), even in partial shade.
Fronius inverters are prepared for the smart grid of tomorrow. The devices are optimally equipped to meet the technical requirements of future networks. The inverters incorporate a series of intelligent functions, known as Advanced Grid Features. These include a range of control functions for optimum reactive power and active power feed-in. These functions are designed to enable stable grid operation even when photovoltaic system density is very high and to prevent unwanted power supply interruptions and associated efficiency losses if network parameters exceed thresholds. Therefore, Fronius inverters help to ensure the efficiency of a photovoltaic system. Additionally, where feed-in limits are imposed, Fronius inverters can provide dynamic control of feed-in, taking into account self-consumption. Just connect the meter and set the feed-in limit!
Today, an increasing number of grid operators in different countries stipulate a limit on the feed-in of photovoltaic energy as a prerequisite before a system can be connected to the grid. With dynamic power reduction, Fronius provides a solution for optimal management of injection. The inverter first supplies energy to household consumers and then reduces the system's output to the maximum energy allowed by the grid operator. With Fronius inverters, zero feed-in is also a possibility due to this feature, which means that no photovoltaic energy is fed into the grid. Relevant requirements of the grid operator can be met by simply activating a setting on the inverter's web interface.
